Adelina isn't originally from Naples. That's the most that most people know about her. She's that Venetian girl.

In reality, she's the daughter of two parents who immigrated to Naples for work, bringing their five daughters with them, Adelina the youngest of the flock at eighteen.

And the one to get in most trouble in the surroundings of their new home. Because Adelina is seen by, if she herself isn't the first to lay eyes on Francesca, the great seductress of Naples, a lover of women and a lover of men and a lover of unica, those special moments that stay with you forever.

She sets out to make Adelina one of those moments.

They share the summer and a passionate romance, but like summer eventually becomes autumn, eventually Adelina's parents take grief with their daughter's flimsical affair, deciding that Naples is no place for them and heading back to where they came from.

So, Adelina - crying - has to tell Francesca goodbye, and Francesca kisses her, knowing better than the other girl that life will move on. Love is only a way to pass time. But a part of Adelina stays with her, among the many other relics that she keeps from past loves.

Meanwhile, Adelina returns to Venice. To the waterways there, to the history and to the hope of one day being a special moment to someone else again.
